“At MTA, our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, reliable and affordable telecommunications. To do that you need state-of-the-art solutions like Intec’s Inter-mediatE and InterconnecT CABS CG. In today’s competitive environment, you have to be sure that you are recording and realizing every potential penny of revenue. Using these solutions from Intec will enable MTA to increase its network and service complexity, as well as volume, without the worry of potential leakage,” said Dan Monarch, director of IT at MTA.

MTA is taking advantage of Intec’s specially packaged offering for the ILEC (independent local exchange carrier), which includes appropriately sized hardware pre-loaded with a LITE (Limited Interfaces & Tools Edition) version of Inter-mediatE. Additionally, MTA will use InterconnecT CABS CG in a hosted (ASP) model, accessing the software from Intec’s Dallas-based data center.

Alaska’s Matanuska Telephone Association Selects Intec Telecom Systems

MTA licenses Intec’s ILEC solutions for mediation, Carrier Access Billing

London/Atlanta/Dallas, May 20 , 2004 – Intec Telecom Systems, a global provider of Operations Support Systems (OSS) for fixed, wireless, and IP/next generation networks, today announced a contract with Matanuska Telephone Association, Inc. (MTA), Alaska’s largest telephone co-operative, which offers Local, Long Distance, Wireless, Business Solutions, Internet, Directory and Digital TV, to their member owners. This initial agreement includes Intec’s award-winning mediation solution Inter-mediatE™, Inter-mediatE Report Manager, and Intec’s carrier access billing software Interconnect CABS CG™.

“The ILEC LITE package allows independent operators to enjoy the functionally superior solutions used by the big carriers in a streamlined version perfect for their network,” said Fred Brott, president of Intec North America. “Operationally these ILECs have the same challenges as the major operators. With the ILEC LITE solutions package from Intec, they can now benefit from the same carrier-grade solution, right-sized for their operation.”
